The Royal Typewriter company was founded in New York City in 1906. One of the most popular models, the model 10 was released in 1914 and many families dreamed of having one in their home.

This particular model 10 has been dated two between 1920‘s to early 1930s.

It would be a great display piece for an office. 

it has not been inspected by a professional; however, all of the mechanisms appear to be functional, with the exception of some of the keys, sticking occasionally and a ribbon that has become detached from the unit. I have provided a photo of this ribbon, I am not sure what function it serves.

The gold lettering and sticker labels are in good condition. The surface paint is in fairly good condition with some wear to the black paint and rust shown on the stainless steel parts.

The glass keys also show age, in this case adding much character.
