This Nettlecreek reproduction is modeled after 17th century Barcelona sconces that would have lit the entrance corridor to the Catalon magistrates home. These sconces would have featured ornate carvings. The manufacturer Nettlecreek industries is located in Richmond, Indiana. They specialize in making reproductions of pieces found in famous museums and private collections. This particular piece came from Hutzlers of Baltimore. A department store founded in 1858. Today this store no longer exists, with every location closing by 1990.
